I’ve carried a tritium vial in my pocket for the last 13 years without issues (till it broke the other day :( ) Tritium can’t even penetrate your skin with its low level of radiation and in the environment has a half life of roughly 3 days.
Not understanding nuclear isn’t a good reason to be afraid of it. Radiation is absolutely dangerous in some forms…but a sun burn is just a radiation burn and we still aren’t applying sunscreen.
