Summary

Kash Patel’s candidacy for FBI director under Donald Trump faces bipartisan scrutiny due to past remarks suggesting he would target journalists.

In a 2023 podcast, Patel pledged to “come after” media figures he accused of aiding election interference, though he later claimed the comments were exaggerated and only referred to legal actions against those breaking the law.

Critics, including senators and watchdog groups, fear his loyalty to Trump and embrace of conspiracy theories could politicize the FBI.

Just like the supreme court judges, he’ll just lie about it at the confirmation hearing, knowing that the GOP senators will pretend to believe him and that nobody will punish him for it when he does it anyway.

I like how the article says “if he will really come after journalists”

Well not fucking you because you’ve already been playing their game by softballing this whole thing for 8 years.

You spineless shitheads will be safe, dont worry.

That’s the funniest part… they don’t realize that Trump is still going to go after them even after all this sucking up. This happened in Nazi Germany, jewish and liberal news sucked up to the nazis and we all know what happened there.

What’s the joke? It reads more like you didn’t notice or didn’t know “depose”.

The original is deny, defend, depose which is about what insurance agencies do.

This one is defy, defend, dispose which is about revolution. First and last words are different to convey a different meaning.

I hadn’t noticed “defy”. That does make it seem a little more intentional, although the OP has gone back to the original words in their posts since then, so I’m not sure I believe it. 🤔
