We all know this is true - if you have a DSLR or mirrorless (or even a point-and-shoot) that you know takes better photos than your phone, but rarely take photos with it, then you can use some of these tips to make it easier.
Use that camera for its intended purpose, and take more photos! I enjoyed this brief article on tips to make using that nice camera a little bit more likely…
Enjoy, and use your camera! :)
I usually have my 15-35mm lens on my R5 with me. I deliberately carry it (using a shoulder strap) on my evening walk with my dog, and occasionally find interesting to photograph compositions. I also use a combination photo bag (photography bag that also carries my work laptop and gear) so if I’m driving to work and come across something striking, I can get a photo of it…
I have the 5D Mark IV. I thought about taking it around with a 50mm prime on it. Or maybe my 7D. I don’t use the 7D so I’m not so afraid of making it a daily carry, for example, if it broke.
What bag are you using that fits the camera and laptop?
I have used a 50mm for street photography in the past, but sometimes it's just nice to be able to zoom, for better framing. I've used many bags over the years, but I'm currently using a Wandrd Prvke 31L bag as my daily carry (to work and back). So far, I'm liking it, as it easily carries my R5, 70-200mm, and 15-35mm zooms, and 16" Macbook Pro with the cables, power bricks, etc.
