On the ringworm part, the funny part is to immigrate to Canada (and presumably the USA?), people and their pets both need proof of vaccination. So new immigrants are the least likely to transmit infectious diseases.
Ringworm is just a fungus. I doubt Canada is checking people for athlete’s foot.
