    I must be watching too many cave exploration videos on YouTube, because I thought this was going in a vastly different direction.

    “Don’t want to go to school? How about dying from hypothermia over 36 hours while stuck in the pitch black with your arms pinned over your head? Okay, school it is.”

        Bingo.

        I don’t go in for the death-porn aspect of it, but there’s something intriguing about these stories of people who seem to just have zero innate fear response.

          While the series is fictional horror (which may not be your thing) and I don’t recall it being too gory, you might be interested in “Ted’s Caving Journal”. IIRC, the creators drew their inspiration from caving videos, but I could be mistaken.

          Also, one of the haunting music tracks Scary Interesting uses is “The End is Coming” by CO.AG music.

          Not sure about the general trend, this was a related picture that was an edit of the comic from the post, but depicting child abuse as the punchline.
