    I read through this right after it came out - such a breakneck place I couldn't put it down!

    For anyone who's deeply invested in the Cosmere, this will be a very fun read. Not as friendly for cosmere newbies like Tress and Yumi were, though.

      yeah this one is a bit less newbie-friendly, but overall I think it can be done. The mysterious magic stuff isn't that different from the stuff at the end of Tress. The biggest issues are all the Stormlight references that never get explained because.

        You'll want to have read at least some of Stormlight. There are lots of references to other parts of the Cosmere (later Mistborn and Warbreaker) but Stormlight is key.

    I found this reference video after reading the book. Despite having personally read most of the cosmere books twice, I still wasn't sure which references I should have recognized and which bits of lore were new. Be warned that this is absolutely as spoiler heavy as it gets.
