Patty, Charlie Brown, and Shermy are in a store looking around. The latter points in front of him and exclaims,“Here they are over here!”

They stand in front of a magazine rack and exclaim,“Ah! Comic books!!”

They all sit on the floor and start reading the comics.

Charlie Brown stands up, spreads his hands, and exclaims,“whew If this druggist was any kind of a guy, he’d put in benches!”

Among the pictured comic book titles, Nancy — referring to the comic strip by Ernie Bushmiller — and Tip Top were real titles published by Peanuts’ own United Feature Syndicate, with both titles eventually including reprints of early Peanuts strips. The ending gag is recycled from the Li’l Folks strip from May 1, 1949.
