I wonder if Apple’s announcement has anything to do with this decision. Lots of people gasped at that price Apple priced their headset at. Even if it’s not aimed at the general audience, it’s not a good look and not attractive to the masses who want to adopt VR.

Meta may be able to come out as the cheaper, but not bad quality, product of Apple’s product by focusing on general audiences, especially when it comes to price.
