A Chicago pastor injured during demonstrations outside a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility has joined a sweeping federal lawsuit filed on Tuesday challenging the Trump administration’s response to protests in the city.

One of the plaintiffs, Rev. David Black, who leads First Presbyterian Church of Chicago, says he was taking part in a prayer vigil outside the Broadview ICE facility when officers opened fire on him without warning.

I saw the video and I couldn’t believe the senseless cruelty. I haven’t heard a single case of an ICE agent being disciplined for any of the atrocious embehacior we’ve seen. Disgusting behavior and I pray we’ll have our own Nuremberg trials soon

I hope that if we somehow manage to wrest control of things away from this government that whomever is put in charge next drops the fucking hammer on everyone involved. No ‘I’m sure they’ve learned their lesson’, no ‘We need unity, not retribution’, no ‘Forgive and move on’. Drop. The. Hammer. On everyone involved, from the top down to the lowest-paid employee.
