Iirc wala pang Doppler radar ang PAGASA noong panahon ng Ondoy kaya hindi rin nila napredict yung dami ng ulan.
Kaya pala akala ko wala lang yung signal number 1, tapos yun pala kada ilang minuto hahangin at aambon/uulan 😵
Alala ko nung Ulysses nagreklamo ako na bakit wala naman ulan pero yung hangin dinaig pa mga ibang bagyong dumaan for the last decade or so na hanggang Signal no. 1 lang, haha.
I was unaware of the flooding that Ondoy caused during its peak. Electricity wasn’t cut off in our area either, internet connection was doing fine as well. It was only when I attempted to go out of the house to buy some food that I realized the damage it caused. No floods in our area, thankfully, but we’re almost literally an island that day.
I should have been aware of the near-constant torrential rain all night and all throughout that morning though.

LPT: Unang una nila tinitignan when availing warranty is kung may dents or signs na nabagsak o nabasa. Pag wala sila makita, wala ka babayaran. If meron, your warranty doesn’t apply. That’s why having a bulky case that has 360 degree protection (Spigen Armor, UAG, Otterbox) is worth it. Para kahit nahulog or what, if they check it, phone still looks pristine.

Look into the punch-down fold, should make it easier to push the cup in. Once it’s in, push in from the fold side to seal the cup and you should be good. If it has an adjustable stem try walking with it for a bit and trim down as needed.

Now that I can comment in the website, let me rant a bit re: r/place.
Good call that r/PH didn’t join this year’s r/place na inorganisa at a dubious time to begin with. This year’s r/place became a happy place for bots and streamers para mamburaot. Some Redditors even suspect that some Reddit admins themselves created those bots para mamburaot.
Yung pinaka-suss talaga was the fact na we’re having it again this early when it’s supposed to occur like once every four years.
Tapos hindi mo ma-gets duality ng ibang redditors. Galit na galit sa pinoy pride at “peenoise” pero akala mo laking kawalan hindi makapaglagay ng flag sa isang transparent na pautot. Hindi pa marunong magbasa ng pinned thread na may pinned comment. Uulanin sub ng mga tanong na kung ano balak at wala man lang daw ba nationalism (my Relay is still working so I get notifs from reports).
Yang mga makukulit na yan, sila rin yung hindi marunong magbasa ng coordinates. Kasura yung last year, andaming **** na patong nang patong sa assigned pixel ko 🙄
Pero in fairness yung higanteng Leni/Kiko flag last year matibay. Kahit may invaders, madali lang nababalik.
Kaso nakakawalang gana na sumali because of bots. Yung mga “Join Lemmy” nga daw ang bilis nabubura.
I saw a github repo for a bot used in last year’s r/place with a long list of forks. It’s likely re-used this year as well. They couldn’t even address the spam bots so it’s unlikely they could put more effort for a short event.
