Leaked texts by John Fetterman reveal why many of the Pennsylvania senator’s staffers are reportedly worried: he is increasingly behaving like a Republican.

In January, according to the report, Fetterman sent staffers an article about how annual healthcare costs for a typical working American family are nearly $4,000.

“How should it cost? Free?” he wrote. “I don’t understand what affordability it is.”

Also in January, as the Trump administration was dragging its heels about releasing the Epstein files, Fetterman messaged a staffer: “Epstein was a nothing burger. Worst pics I’ve seen were from Clinton lol.”

If his staffers had any ethics they would all quit, but same as Meta workers they will sit and collect their check while being “concerned.”

If he got hit in the head again would it make him less right wing? I propose an experiment.

“I don’t understand what affordability it is.”

Well then maybe you need to get your stupid fucking ass out of that office.

The man can’t even complete his sentences properly. Should have had a competency hearing day 1 after recovering from his stroke.

Is that why I have difficulty parsing this message?

“How should it cost? Free?” he wrote. “I don’t understand what affordability it is.”

OK, he forgot “much”, but what’s the argument here?

And does he mean the last sentence literally?

edit: oh, it’s 4k annually, not monthly. So like 1k per person. Annually. Or USD 83 per month. That would be cheaper than anything I’ve seen/heardof/experienced anywhere in Europe. I want to see that article.

Messages obtained by New York Magazine show the Democrat mocking free healthcare, dismissing the Epstein files as a “nothing burger,” and calling Democrats hypocritical for their outrage at the killing of nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. Fetterman has been a thorn in his party’s side on a host of issues.

He’s not a thorn in their side.

He’s the rotating villain and he’s useful to them, because they’re conservatives who want excuses as to why they oppose nothing. (And usually that excuse is powerlessness.)

If Dems cared, they’d be making his life a living hell, same as Donald does to Republicans who disagree with him. Even if you can’t vote someone out you still have power over them.

Annually? Try monthly. Are they completely ignoring the cost of insurance? Health insurance costs around $800-1000 per person. I guess if you ignore the cost of insurance when it’s employer provided, then you get insured people spending that much annually before meeting the deductible, self insured spending 1k per month and uninsured people spending as little as possible for wildly inadequate care. This is definitely a case where a straight mean can’t possibly tell the whole story. But why would we want a fucking senator capable of understanding that?

I don’t understand what affordability it is.

then you should no longer represent your constituency, John. move aside and let someone with a better understanding step in and replace you.

Do you think the country would be better off with Senator Mehmet Oz?

Because that was Pennsylvania’s choice: Mehmet Oz or John Fetterman.

If you go back to the primary, it was Fetterman or Conor Lamb, a US Rep who - although he voted against Nancy Pelosi for Speaker - also voted to deregulate small banks and against de-scheduling cannabis.

F’man was the real deal before his stroke. An actual man of the people. His brain is paranoid soup now.
