That’s a good joke, executed nicely by Schulz. I’m also kind of thinking that one of the appeals of Peanuts was the casual, and even ‘round’ nature of the strip. Sharp edges are not in abundance, and visually these are easy on the eyes and the ol’ noggin.
Btw, for some reason I hadn’t done so before, so I decided to look up Charles’ surname. It evidently means the equivalent of ‘mayor’ or ‘head judge.’
