Slaps Panama papers down on the table Karoline, do you really want to have a conversation about fraud?

Laken Riley’s murder? You only care about it because you used her death to excuse literal concentration camps in the US. On average, 14 more women have died every day in the US since then, the vast majority of them are murdered by US citizens, and you will never know their names. Let’s talk about them, and what we can do to protect women in the US.

I’ll agree that Trump’s mental decline was not nearly as bad as Biden’s, but Biden had more to lose than trump ever had in the first place.

It should be common knowledge, at this point, that every single news source in the USA is owned by like 3 Billionaires. Its not a new network anymore, its a propaganda agency.

That and he is not in charge anymore so at most should be a B story of “here is what’s happening to someone who used to be a thing”

Oh no, an old guy in retirement is getting closer to the farm. Hope he enjoys what he has left, wait! That was Biden! Time to riot and focus on him!

I mean, even with the pool, we’re laughing at it, but what we’re actually talking about is the corrupt bullshit that lead to here. People were already grumpy about the way it was being renovated and who was renovating it before it turned green. It’s just kinda funny that even after pulling that bullshit, the outcome was terrible. But the government corruption is the actually story.

Why would anyone need to talk about Biden’s mental health? He’s not President and he wasn’t running for President.

They’re saying there was insufficient coverage of Biden’s mental decline while he was president. Which is ridiculous, because it got a ton of attention - definitely more than the reflecting pool.

On a different topic, does Brilyn Hollyhand have any organic audience?

I mean its worth talking about his cabinet hiding his cognitive decline by hiding him from public appearances as his presidency went on but it should not be a priority it is something to talk about though.

I never said it should be a top priority and people in this thread are denying its something that happened at all so yes its still something to occasionally investigate.

You can care about two things at ounce even if one is less crucial but whatever thats all I am saying apparently everyone feels covering up a presidents decline is okay if his successor is worse.

It would be ideal if future administrations didn’t do any kind of health coverups, though of course prior admin discussions wouldn’t take precedence over e.g. a big fat war.

(Not sure if Biden’s health was actually covered up - point should hold either way)

so like this is the worst part, i can see logically why they might. “gotta project strength. old and ailing projects weakness. regardless of whether the chronic ailment (getting old) is physical or mental, the statesian public assumes any physical decline is immediately preceded by a major mental decline and putain has a literal army division devoted to memes” or something like that.

i dislike it, but statesians are in general pretty ableist (i have charts and graphs if you disagree) so they’re not going to vote for someone they acknowledge has a physical deficiency. Hell, from wikipedia on FDR:

Roosevelt remained paralyzed from the waist down and relied on a wheelchair and leg braces for mobility, which he took efforts to conceal in public.

he wouldn’t have concealed it if the public were accepting of those with disabilities. And this was before the damned polio vaccine (that was 1950. he died 5 years before and really needed it in 1920 as he got sick in 1921) so like, you’d think people would be more accepting? or maybe just more people died.

and well, when i lived in utah, attitudes seemed very set in the 1930s

also those charts and graphs are for if you agree too.

What the fuck do you expect them to do? I’d fully expect them to hide it as best they can no matter who that president is. They’re definitely hiding it with Trump, it’s just that he’s always been so fucking dumb and weird that it’s not such a strong contrast. Biden is miles better even at the absolute worst times of his age getting to him. Do I want them to hide it? No. But you gotta be dumb as fuck if you ever expect anything else.

the national park service used arra funds and actually rebuilt the whole thing during the obama administration. and when they had an algae problem, shortly after it being filled back up… they fixed that for a measly $100 thousand to drain and clean it all, and then increased the ozone used in the filtering system to control the algae.

it should cost less than $150 thousand to completely drain and clean it today. note there’s no “millions” here… not even a single “million”. just one hundred and fifty thousand. anything more than that is taxpayer money being stuffed in to someone’s pocket.

Maybe more than 150k since inflation… But yeah somewhere in that order.

Also, what you described takes actual engineering and planning. Conservatives don’t do that.

$150 thousand is already a little higher than what the inflation calculator site gave me for an adjusted, current value of that original amount.

as far as the shit they added, they can just scoop that up and put it in someone’s big macs. nobody would know the difference anyway.

I’ll say it again, this is a classic distraction to flood the zone.

By focusing on the mostly harmless gaff of the reflecting pool, were not talking about Trump being a pedophile, or the surrender to Iran, or the fucker economy and insider trading.

Making posts like these is exactly want Trump wants you to do.

Honestly if trump had managed to fix the pool correctly and for an appropriate amount of money that should be even bigger news than this current distraction.

Imagine how nuts we would all go if he actually become competent all of a sudden.

The pool is just memetastic and simple to explain. Classic clickbait fodder. It also has direct links to an area of Trump’s supposed expertise.

The other more important things like the Epstein files, oligarchs, genocide, graft, corruption, fascism, inflation, affordability, and idiotic wars of aggression are still getting coverage and will still get coverage after this. They’re just not as easily condensed up a meme.

Green pool Trump is blathering about vs. a manufactured immigrant crisis, the mental decline of someone that is no longer in office, or a murder that happened two years ago…

    Hmm, weird.
