    That point about how sensory processing issues can affect your health is so on point, I had no idea how much of my general anxiety was caused just by the world being too loud and bright. Earplugs and sunglasses worked instantly where 5 different medications failed to do anything.

      I agree. I’ve also found washing my face with cold water to be surprisingly effective at calming my anxiety in public spaces, and it’s generally always available. It’s amazing how these seemingly small things can make a difference

      Unfortunately for me, earplugs tend to irritate my ears. Weirdly, ADHD meds improve my symptoms a lot, though not completely. Sunglasses are nice though. Rose tinted glasses are nice for bright indoor lighting.

    The neat part is, if you have a diagnosis on file you can make an ADA reasonable accomodations request for this stuff and if they don’t illegally fire you they’ll find a way to maybe get you something kinda like it

    I wish this was more common. I mostly just stay at home all the time and order things online so I don’t have to go out.
