Anyone else having trouble logging back in after Lemmy.world’s last server update? It just spins forever after I click Sign In, doesn’t even give me an error.

Wow. I see they haven’t had a commit to their main branch since August. Is this a dead project? I don’t even see an issue about this on their GitHub yet

It’s been a long time coming. Most of us that used liftoff have jumped to other apps.

Personally I use Voyager for Android.

By the way, when was the last time you cleared your cache?

Seems so. Hopefully someone can pick it up. Liftoff itself started as someone resuming work on another abandoned project, lemmur.

As none of the developers had done anything since August, I believe there was an attempt by someone else back in November to get it working /fork Liftoff! but the code was not in a good state and because of the way it works would be very difficult.

As much as I liked this app I had to bail on it for Voyager. I was already down to only 1 account still working and then that one went too, it was just time.

Change Voyager settings to compact with large icons, it’s a lot like rif was.

Not to dissuade you from trying Voyager but there are a lot of different apps out there that come close to RIF, too. Boost manages to come close to RIf with its compact settings, and I just discovered Summit which might actually be the closest thing to RIF I’ve found so far.

I’d encourage you to try them all out to find the one you like best.
