    While the particular style of commodification and marketised glorification of serial killers is presumably unique to capitalism, it is probably the case that fascination with such macabre and morbid things will be universal in any and all societal models. Morbid curiosity is a deeply-ingrained part of the human psyche and we just can’t help but want to know about this sort of stuff for whatever reason. Hopefully in a better world it’d be more ethical than it is today, though.

      Morbid curiosity isn’t really my issue here cos I get that.

      It’s this growing glorification of serial killers in media by libs that pisses me off. Whether it’s true crime making every basic person think they are a criminal psychologist or Netflix making their serial killers hot and attractive protagonists.

      What’s that thing about societies stories and art reflecting itself? It’s a quote. I can’t remember 💀
