Just remember that the board and rules can change over time. What seems reasonable now may not be what you’ll be dealing with next year.

If the person believed that there was someone behind it, and fired a gun at it with intent to kill, it’s attempted murder.

So you think attempted murder should be ok too, since no one actually got hurt?
The exact same number of animals will die today whether or not I choose to have a burger for dinner. This is not something within an individual’s control. If you want this to change, it has to happen at societal level.

That’s not how it works. Only a tiny fraction of the debris requires specialized handling and disposal. Doorknobs outside the containment building are absolutely not radioactive and are not treated that way. The radiation levels inside a nuclear plant are actually lower than the surrounding background radiation levels outside the plant.

We’re not the product. We’re the cows getting milked dry, and once they have taken everything they can from us, we’re discarded without a second thought.

I’ve seen reports that some banks block connections from known VPNs.

You’re way off on the amount of waste they produce.
If you collected the waste of every nuclear plant in the United States since 1950 in one place, it would only fill a football field up to about 30ft deep. That’s really not all that much considering it’s 70+ years of power. That’s very easily manageable if people would just get over their fear.

In my experience, atheists only mention they are atheists when Christians try to impose their beliefs on them first. Which is why it seems like they mention it constantly.

People don’t really know how their cars work either, but they are still responsible for crimes they commit with them.
Well, except for running over cyclists. They are allowed to do that.

AI learned that from training data, which means it was used by humans writing this kind of text. At least that was true before AI started feeding on itself.

Put it inside one of those giant wind tunnels.

Who’s to decide what “properly” actually means in an evolutionary context? At some point in the past, this behavior either gave us a survival advantage in some way, or at the very least, didn’t hurt our survival chances.

I’ll concede that the law is ineffective, but it most certainly exists. It could be used to threaten someone. That’s only possible if the law exists.
You can’t choose to not enforce something that doesn’t exist.

We shouldn’t punish people for hypothetical crimes either though.

But laws DO continue to exist even when not enforced. Just look at some of the crazy old state laws that say things like “it is illegal to eat ice cream on a Tuesday while wearing jeans”. No one enforces those, yet the laws are still clearly on the books. Trying to claim they don’t exist is just absurd.

Humans are natural creatures. Humans created laws.
Bees are natural creatures. Bees create honey.
If honey is considered natural, then so too are laws.
I’m clearly missing something.
Ohh, is “shoelace” the cat’s name?
