NA education moment, thought Bosnia was Serbia for some reason. Would prolly get me stabbed if I made that mistake in region.

The Serbs I’ve talked to online and a couple in person seemed ambivalent about taking responsibility at best. They are generally more pissed about the NATO intervention into their genocide SMO, and overblow how much death it caused compared to the death they (former yugo states) inflicted amongst themselves. I am confident Russia uses this as a wedge issue to their advantage these days.
Been a minute since I’ve read up on the Yugoslav wars, but are we sure this alliance is primarily worried about Russia and not that place in the middle there?
I honestly don’t understand this compunction to break things that are already working fine.
Simple market capitalist mindset. If you’re not expanding, you’re dying.
Words do have meaning, they just want to be the ones who decide what they mean any given day.
And this dictionary change means “We want a casus belli to begin a military invasion of Mexico.” Literally throwing the Iraq playbook at it.
I find they’re usually just cowards afraid to stand both feet on anything, and/or self-aware of their ignorance so they give the “both-sides” spiel because it sounds pithy and intelligent.
I doubt they will reconsider their gun laws any time soon. In either case, the better way to resist invasion is enlisting in Canada’s professional army, not going off on your own to form a shabby militia.
In Canada self-defense is not a legitimate reason to obtain firearms, much less paramilitary activity. Of course you can just lie and say its for “recreation” and go to the range every now and then, which you should be doing anyway.
Additionally in recent years most self-loading rifles and all handguns have been made prohibited. You’re basically limited to bolt-action hunting rifles, SKS rifles with 5 round magazines, M1 Garands that cost $3000CA, and pump-action shotguns.
He is not a clown joking around, he is a dangerous sociopath who is a chief architect of our budding anti-immigrant apparatus. Our Heinrich Himmler analogue.
He is threatening a member of the press on live TV. There is nothing funny or boorish about it.
A thumbs down on targeting Tesla owners. Not worth your time or personal risk, and it will likely do more harm for the cause than good. Public sentiment is important.
Sure, they can choose to sell them…but someone has to buy it. Then is the buyer now a target? The number of targets doesn’t decrease until the car goes to the scrapyard.
EDIT: Another point, don’t ever take unsolicited intel at face value. Verify. This could easily be a bad actor trying to stoke random violence.
Sentence will be death by firing squad, no doubt.
A lot harder to go after aerospace factories and launch sites, both of which are at least “secure areas” in the commercial sense if not “restricted areas” in the national security sense.
I’m not going to read your 80-page dissertation of ginned up lies sourced by Ivan Ivanovich.
Another .ml shit-stirrer, hardly worth the keystrokes.
Its a problem with basically all the post-communist states. When the soviet world collapsed it left a lot of early computer professionals, if not outright intelligence officers, out in the cold, and many of them turned to crime to support themselves. That fostered the environment of hacking and scams that exists today.
The one time my steam account was getting hammered with access attempts, they were from Serbia.
There is a strong undercurrent of chauvinism among conservative Americans. That America is one of the last bastions of freedom against the degenerate progressive-marxist-globalist movement.
It will still take some twisting of facts and provocation, but probably not as much as you might think.
We have trains that have lethal derailments every year or so.
I don’t think other countries are going to be chasing our science deniers like we chased rocket and medical scientists after the war.
Well…hopefully they’ll get chased. Just not for the same reasons.
They don’t need to introduce anything, involuntary commitment is already a question on form 4473 and something a NICS check would flag.
Of course, they would still need to physically retrieve any firearms they may have. Unless they planned on handing them over peacefully.
He may have some success in beating the cartels back, somewhat. But overall he’s not going to support any country down there, he’s going to send the military to bomb the fuck out of what little infrastructure they have, cause large amounts of collateral damage and death, and seize whatever is of value. We’ve already seen this playbook in the middle east.
