I mentioned Flashpoint in a different comment here.
I was really hoping for Thomas Wayne in The Flash movie, but that was not to be.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Are there any serial killers still active in the US today? With all the tech like dna, fingerprints, flock camera's etc. Would it be almost impossible to be one?English

25·15 hours agoThe problem is that even if it turns on many of them personally, it still won’t stop them for voting for the same policies next time.
They are like Wiley Coyote. No matter how many times they fail, they just assume they can overcome the error next time.

Pravda News!@news.abolish.capital•Even as Trump Flounders in the Polls, GOP Candidates Keep Running Further RightEnglish
71·15 hours agoThe Right keeps winning elections because they vote in every election.
People on the Left often stay home because there’s no candidate they agree with 100%.
Remember that Frederick Douglas backed Abe Lincoln in 1860 when Abe said that preserving the Union was more important than Abolition.
Douglas figured it was smarter to be on the inside with the President than on the outside with the ‘moral choice.’
It was a comic and an episode of Superman The Animated Series.
Bruce, Dick, and Diana go to the Fortress for Super’s birthday. Mogul arrives with parasitic plants that give you your perfect dream while they eat you. Kal-El grew up as a simple farmer on a Krypton that never exploded, and Bruce is a playboy.
Check out the Absolute Flash timeline comics.
spoiler
___Bruce died in the alley and his father became Batman. Martha went nuts and became The Joker. Thomas Wayne is even tougher and crazier than his sone. He runs a massive casino, has Oswald Cobblepott as his butler, and uses Hourman’s highly addictive super serum to compensate for his age.
I was extremely annoyed when they had Keaton playing Bruce and not Thomas Wayne in the Flash movie.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•No mainstream celebrity today would have the balls to release a coffee-table book like Sex. Madonna did it in 1992. Happy birthday to the Queen of Pop.English
2·16 hours agoQuick search shows that ‘The Bodyguard’ made about $400 million and was one of the biggest pictures of that year.
‘Truth Or Dare’ made about $30 million.
The only characters in comics who haven’t come back to life are Bruce Wayne’s parents and Peter Parker’s uncle.

Pretty sure he destroyed his career with The Postman and Waterworld, but I’ll take your word for it.

2·21 hours agoEven people who hated him admitted that Reagan was a smooth politician.
Gorbachev told a story about how he and Reagan were meeting in Helsinki for arms talks.
The protocol was that the americans would arrive first, talk to the press outside, then wait in the building. Then the soviets would show up.
Reagan broke protocol and came out to greet Gorbachev. Gorbachev is in a hat and coat, looking like a commuter, and Reagan is wearing a beautiful suit and looking like The Leader Of The Free World.

Work Reform@lemmy.world•just temporarily embarrassed billionaires, one good idea or lottery ticket from making it richEnglish
11·2 days agoI was at work, talking to someone my own income.
I asked him to name some things that he’d buy with a billion dollars that he couldn’t get with $100 million.
He couldn’t actually name one thing, but kept insisting that billionaires ‘needed’ the money.

But the memory of it will burn itself into your brain.
