I couldn’t say. I was having some recurring issues on my Pro installation so I was already set on doing a fresh install at the time so I downloaded the necessary ISO from MassGrave, backed up my stuff to an external and pulled the pin. There were some teething issues such as a couple of things I use needing the MS Store and I’m probably one of the few people who actually like Gamebar so figuring out how to install them to a version of Windows that wasn’t intended to have them was an interesting situation but I got there in the end.

Granted it’s more effort but I recommend switching to LTSC at this point instead.

Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure you’re right. I remember seeing an interview some years ago where a collection of Trump supporters were being asked some questions, including ones in the vein of ‘if he did x’ and one of them was ‘If Trump shot a man in the street and killed him, would you still support him?’ and the answer was ‘That depends, did he deserve it?’. That one opened my eyes to the sort of people we’re dealing with when it comes to Trump supporters. The fact that he got in again since that only killed more of the little bit of faith I had in humanity.

I’m all for enabling choice but I can’t help but wonder how much this is a move for some easy PR compared to how big the prospective market is for such a game… as well as how I stay away from said buyers.

I’m referring to how there’s been a trend of “cost of X just increased 15%”. Granted I can’t, and won’t presume to, speak for every individual case but we have access to know enough that these increases often aren’t tied to necessity within a company. When profits are increasing year-over-year but the price still goes up, that’s a decision made by a greedy someone(s) somewhere up in the pecking order.
