Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your best tips for looking busy at work, while actually doing something you enjoy?
61·1 day agoIf you want to use a personal computer at work without raising suspicion, use a KVM switch to connect it to your work monitor and keyboard. Not only can you switch back to work quickly if needed, but it also looks more natural than having a separate laptop or whatever sitting out on your desk.
Cunning linguist, he he. I wonder if they’re friends with Colonel Angus.

I bet he’d be really good at DDR since he’s got four feet.
Not much, time. What’s up with you?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Do you ever feel like your life is "scripted"? Like everything is written by some entity controlling your life? Like you live in a fictional universe? Is this feeling normal/common?
12·8 days agoI don’t feel like my life is scripted per se, but sometimes I’ll be talking to someone and all of the sudden it feels like someone else has taken control of my body and is doing all the talking while I just sit back and watch. I have to concentrate to get back in control.

News@lemmy.world•How the dollar-store industry overcharges cash-strapped customers while promising low prices
19·9 days agoThe article essentially says the reason is that price tags aren’t being updated to reflect the prices in the computer system. I’d be interested to see if any items ring up cheaper at the register, or if the error is always coincidentally in favor of the store.
Instructions unclear, I searched for “fun throbbers” and now my browser is buried in gay porn ads.
