MarauderIIC@lemmy.zipto Satisfactory@lemmy.world•Day 193 of posting screenshots every day, of whatever I've been working on that day, until I run out of content or get bored6·2 months agoI always appreciate these. But I don’t have anything worthwhile to add so I’ll continue on that realm and say that the title photo looks like a certain… something. Heheh
But have you searched for “communities containing ten forward” yet? :)

My combinatorics professor used gnomes!
I generally feel the same. Also, bubble bath- not relaxing, because then I’m covered in a thin soapy film and am forced to shower after.
That said, I think it’s a western problem. I didn’t hate baths when I was in Japan. Huge deep tubs, and the entire room is waterproof with a drain, so not only is the bath super deep but you can also overflow it as part of the experience. All that together made all the difference.

MarauderIIC@lemmy.zipto Board Games@sopuli.xyz•Looking For a Simple, Short, Portable 2 Player gameEnglish4·2 months ago“Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza” is a card game that’s purely reaction based, and is very similar to “war” which you may have played with a standard deck of cards in grade school, but there are a few special cards to mix things up a little bit.
Since it’s reaction-based, it’s not very luck based and it’s not very strategic (edit: oops you asked for strategy, my bad … disregard?). After a round, everyone knows what the cards look like, so experience counts for very little as well.
And it’s surprisingly fun. We laugh a lot. Pro tip: remove wedding rings.
You need a flat surface to play on.
MarauderIIC@lemmy.zipto Python@programming.dev•A quick language learning program I made.6·3 months agoHi! Looks ok. Since you’re learning still, I recommend running this code through pylint and black. You can search for ‘python black’ and ‘python pylint’ for more details on those.
So kinda like royalties
Checking all of these out was a fun rabbit hole. Thanks!
Mint’s default file browser has a “connect” menu option that allows you to drag and drop like WinSCP - the only difference is you have to open a second window. You can even bookmark the remote connection. It probably supports SFTP, but I can’t check right now.

Darth VaderEnglish12·5 months agoI don’t think dynamic generation is the right argument here. They could have an actor literally playing the character, like how character actors at Disney World interact with you. I think the argument here is scale. I’m assuming that there are a ton of instances of Vader and not enough actors to keep up with demand.
Little known fact: refreshing the tracking page not only tells the company that you are invested in your package’s arrival time, this telling them to prioritize it, it also pumps electrons into the cardboard so that it is attracted to the fastest moving delivery vehicle.
(Just kidding, neither of these things are true.)
