2·2 months agoYou are right, it would be nearly useless to generate electricity, but it could be use to save some. IIRC, heating of water and the home account for roughly 20% of power consumption. Harnessing that heat could help supplement those systems, thus saving a little electricity.

9·2 months agoI agree. A union should be able to buy their workplace and run it as a worker cooperative.
Would Oman have any way of attacking Iran if they wanted to? I’m extremely ignorant of current Omani events and capabilities. I just know that at one point, Oman owned both sides of the strait (around 1830 or 40s iirc.)

Is it because Oman is conveniently on the other of the strait? Or does Oman and Iran have better relations than I thought?
Aren’t tanks basically just drone fodder in Ukraine at this point? A high cost asset that can be taken down by a low cost munitions, then it shouldn’t be on the battlefield.

If the roles were reversed, the rednecks would be taking potshots left and right. It would be an invader turkey shoot, like DNR declared open season on Iranians. So we shouldn’t be surprised when the people of Iran have a similar reaction to being invaded.

16·2 months agoSo Putin is gonna to send the boys who are trying to advance academically to die in a war. Sounds like a good way to make sure no one in your country educates themselves.
There’s a character in Star Trek named Boothby. He is a ground keeper for Starfleet Academy that gives wisdom out to cadets that get pass his gruff exterior. I’d be Boothby in a heartbeat.
