Tbh, the first Transformers is one of my favorite watch-it-when-it-rains-blockbuster, the story is not that bad and the score is just perfect.

J’ai recommencé Avatar : le dernier maître de l’air, cette série c’est vraiment un bijou je m’en lasserai jamais.

Depuis la dernière fois que je l’ai vue mon regard sur le monde a un peu évolué et je me suis bien politisé, et franchement c’est super bien écrit. Ça parle de plein de grands sujets (colonialisme, sexisme, racisme et bien d’autres *ismes) tout en étant accessible à tout le monde, ça fait du bien.

Les personnages sont excellents aussi, Iroh et sa sagesse infinie, Zuko qui est déchiré à l’intérieur et qui passe par tellement d’états différents en prenant un petit peu de sagesse et de maturité à chaque fois, Toph tellement arrogante, …

Bref ça reste dans mon top 5 tout confondu je pense et j’ai hâte de la revoir avec mes enfants quand ils seront assez grands pour regarder la TV.

Escaping your “comfort zone” and going into the unfamiliar is definitely something that will help to build yourself away from your parents. Don’t put yourself in dangerous situations for that though.

I think the moments that influenced my life the most and made me feel like I’m an adult and not my parent’s child anymore were the ones that took me way out of my comfort zone (WOOFFing far away, sleeping in a stranger’s garden shelter (I don’t recommend that), quitting the job I was “meant to have”, having a child (the most opposite of comfort zone), …)

Edit: obviously, as others said, don’t take this for a good life advice. Life has been nice to me (I’m a white cis male so I’m not subject to danger as much as other parts of the society) and I haven’t had any huge problems going out of my comfort zone, but this might not be the case for everyone so I’m really not pushing you to put yourself in danger. Before moving out you should be absolutely sure you’re not putting yourself in a dangerous situation. You could try to live some days there first for example.
