My best newbie tip is to use https://lemmyverse.net/ to find new communities.

Just set your home instance (in your case lemmy.world) with the house icon and all links will refer you to the right place for you.

Discoverimg new stuff isn’t always straight forward, but lemmyverse.net makes it a little easier.

Then there are communities for promoting other new communities as well.

Priced under $900 as a pro? That is still a very expensive phone in my opinion…

I get that there are way more expensive phones out there but come on. Listing a phone as “cheaper than $900” does not feel like a pro to me.

The only thing DuoLingo has that matters to me is the streak. It keeps what I know fresh and forces me a little further each day. It is just what I need.

I’d say the simplicity, fully auto updates combined with the very low resource consumption is the USP.

Just create icons for foods as we’ve done for recyclables.

Milk carton? Paper icon. Detergent bottle? Plastic icon.

Veggie burger? Vegetarian icon. Vegan burger? Vegan icon.

Then you can just skip all this naming politics and call it whatever you like. Just require the appropriate icons on the front of the packaging.

Meat/poultry/fish should be their own icons as well imo.

I don’t know if there’s any good reason not to do this, but it seems like a good idea to me.

Have you tried Bastard Tetris AKA Bastet?

It is like normal tetris, but instead of you getting random pieces, the next piece is always the shape you need the least. This makes it a new challenge!

Just mentioning; I think there is some shady controversy going on around ventoy with the project using unexplainable binary blobs in the source code or sometging.

At least there was a controversy at some point in time. It might be resolved now for all I know. Just be aware of it before you decide to use Ventoy.
