  • If you want to learn more about tennis I recommend Infinite Jest. 🤓

We gotta keep digging this stuff up, the CIA spent trillions on keeping us misinformed. Not to mention the alternative media has a lot of sway with semi-peripheral and peripheral countries. I only just got my hands on good material about the political economy of the media a year ago & none of the people posting about it in Enflish to a smattering of followers seem to care about notifying folks about what they’ve allowed into their midst. At a bare minimum I can repost this stuff & try to share my perspective. I still have a lot of the longer-form stuff I need to add to it saved. To be honest I haven’t explained enough about what I post here at all! I appreciate the kind words of course & remember to get potassium and magnesium (🤓), I always got annoyed that multivitamins in the US lacked that & grocery stores only stocked ineffective magnesium oxide. Helps me sleep, and of course dreams give us power.

  • Oh thanks I have read about the southern strategy but I didn’t have a video to send people, and I try to keep in mind that’s the only thing that will work for most. Best to give it to them as explicitly and “in their own words” as achievable with whatever is on hand or not even bother. I have actually been in some protracted overseas arguments about the US education system versus Vietnam lately. My aunt was saying that post-covid environment made it impossible to teach “black and brown kids” + family was trying to pass this off as not racist & refusing to speak to her is turning into this protracted siege. Led to all kinds of topics like “black women superintendents and teacher union heads are the real problem” 😂 so we are far off from convincing them socialist education is good because teachers can fire students… pretty sure that is the only point they absorbed. Things spiraled into a whole discussion of property taxes factoring into education quality, the de facto continuation of redlining, and property values + retirements as a way to tie the fortunes of workers in the core (don’t worry I don’t weigh them down with that terminology) to the imperialist debt traps. Anyways long tangent I know but I mean this is very timely and helpful.

So it really is a battle of iphone vs material conditions in these classrooms. I think illiteracy is gonna win. It’s kind of a nuke. Never believed in the “I don’t need to read Marx’s Capital I’ve got the marks of capital on me” stuff—suffering has definitely made me stupider.

Anyways you will never catch me complaining about something akin to Thankgiving table USonian argumentation again. I forgot to mention she is a Zionist so I needed a good excuse anyways.
