It’s not really a baseless theory. Most people can’t handle facing the injustice in this world and realise it as all to satisfy ego. They find it far easier to cope or detach themselves rather than take action or admit they don’t give a shit. It doesn’t have to be this way, either. If people had some empathy and weren’t so ignorant to the true functions of the world, things could change extremely fast. So many people have deluded themselves into thinking they are ‘powerless’.
