More like people don’t care as long as they aren’t affected. You underestimate how stupid, selfish and apathetic a lot of people really are at heart. But I agree, the world is run by force, and it really wouldn’t take much to make a change. Yet, given how ignorant people are and how many people live insulated lives, it likely won’t happen as we may hope.
Also, add to the fact most people hate accountability, it is far easier to shift the blame than do anything. The cognitive dissonance in the world is astounding.
