As a guy who grew up in a conservative household, this is just a lack of understanding of what communism is; most of my family believe it’s a poverty cult, so they hate it.
I still try to debate it, but so many people prefer to be ignorant and avoid having to face anything about their beliefs. It’s funny when people like free education and free healthcare (in UK), yet cry about benefit scroungers, all the meanwhile large corpos get hand outs to avoid them failing. It honestly hurts.
