As an expert on the Garfield comic strip, there are basically exactly three jokes you can expect from the orange cat: Jokes where Garfield acts like a cat when you expect him to act like a person, jokes where he acts like a person when you expect him to act like a cat, and jokes where he thinks/says some soy banter about whatever it is that Jon is doing. Garfield has been doing this for so long that he is grandfathered in and it shouldn’t be called soy banter, frankly.
