Unfortunately, someone neglecting to get their vaccinations is significantly more likely to kill an immunocompromised person, including young children and the elderly, than it is to kill them. That may include their pets, actually, but I don’t know much about diseases spreading from humans to dogs.
This makes me angry in ways that idiots self-selecting their way out of the population never could. Protect your goddamned dog!
