The mayor of Spain’s capital said that Lime, Dott and Tier Mobility had failed to implement limits on circulation and control parking. Madrid had imposed new regulations on the vehicles in 2023.

    If only city councils would spend as much time and effort on ensuring the safety of car traffic as they do on regulating scooters.

          Only if they’re forced on sidewalks.
          Build some actual, good, wide bike paths, then they can be shared with scooters.

              If there are safe cycle paths, people will use them. Of course there are always idiots, but scooters are absolutely the only type of vehicle that people use irresponsibly, amirite?

          Eh, I’ve been living in Munich for a few months now, there are rentable e-scooters here and I’ve not had one issue with them as a pedestrian. Although Munich has a lot of bike paths and biking is a very common mode of transport…
