Hey everyone! I’ll cut straight to the chase: I’ve been living in the
Netherlands these last couple years, and due to it being close to the sea and
other factors it is usually quite windy and comfortably cool. Cue one of the
hottest summers we’ve had in a while and now my cold-seasoned self cannot get
used to it being 27°C at night, and as such I find myself writing this at 3AM on
a Sunday night. I live in a shitty small apartment with no AC and my window
barely opens, so I’m wondering if anyone has some tips for dealing with this (or
if you don’t then you’re welcome to join me in complaining about the weather (I
am very bored)). Thanks and have a nice day !
Interesting bit of news for the threadiverse. All three of these are fairly large lemmy instances
Its both a value add and a negative. For those more focused on their own community (Like beehaw) it’s an obvious positive. But for many users, losing access to certain communities on your own instance of choice is going to be a negative. I personally don’t blame Beehaw for favoring the former. I think improved moderation tools and more granular federation would at least make the move less of a blow to users.
