And yet, if god were real, and if god truly loved lgbtq, wouldn’t he maybe say something to his assholish followers? Like, I dunno. If I had a friend and some of my employees started mocking them, discriminating against them and generally being assholes, I’d fire their ass immediately.
We don’t see that. Either god’s not real, god’s impotent, or he hates lgbtq. I’m gonna fall into the first two- he’s impotent because he’s not real.
Even disregarding all of this, if I put myself for a short minute in the shoes of a religious person, I’m sure I could rationalize this by saying: “well, imagine a father who has an alcoholic son”, and so on. Of course there are plenty of things you could say to that, but by then you’re on the third comment down, and no one is going to read it.

What does god have against figs?
they know what they did
Wasps
They kill so many pollinators that pretty much no one should eat them. And definitely no vegan should eat them.
Religion is a cancer on society that festers in the ignorant and afraid.

Feel like you’re in the wrong community to try to make that derogative joke.

Not sure I’m getting you
It’s an old anti atheist meme regarding neckbeards and incels
He was giving a historically accurate explanation, and you answered with an off-topic comment that we’ve read a billion times.
It appears it may take a billion more.
Edit: It also appears comments have been deleted and now mine’s hanging on the wrong one. So FYI religion is a cancer
Evangelists are very fond of “love the sinner, hate the sin”. They have convinced themselves that open discrimination is “for their own good.”
Except they don’t even do that. Or they just equate the sinner as sin.
