Someday I’m going be lying in a hospital bed waiting for my visit from a time traveler who’s unconcerned about temporal hygiene.
He probably had a little bit of time travel psychosis left over from his jaunt through the Guardian of Forever.
There has to be some head canon out there, but I think this is one of two things. Either a cure-whatever-is-the-problem pill, like with nanobots that can do whatever is needed in the body (so she had more than the kidneys fixed, that was just what was on her chart). Or in his equipment he has a medical replicator that will generate from base materials any type of specific drug needed for the diagnosed problem.
He travels with Scotty, so of course he keeps those things on hand.
He probably carries Liver-growing pills as well
OMG. I thought the saying, “He has more X than Carter has pills.”, was something about Jimmy Carter. I’m 53 and have thought that my whole life.
To be fair, that man is 100 years old. His medicine cabinet must be briming with pills.
