Corporate media executives are thrilled at the prospect of another Trump term because it gives their ratings a massive boost. Instead of falling for their profit-driven, rage-inducing headlines like last time, we could focus on coming together to support our local communities, fostering understanding, and building collective consciousness and solidarity.
Or, we could continue enabling their profit motives and relying on capital owners for help that never arrives. That’s an option too, I guess.

You’re right but I am sincerely surprised that they are backing away from these candidates instead of doubling down. I was certain that GOP Congress would let Trump get his way.

Yup. He isn’t even president yet. He will make an example of one or two people, and everyone else will fall in line.
Media outlets haven’t been on our side for decades. So try to present themselves as if they are, but only because they think there is an utapped market for such a thing, and they hope to exploit it. Media is a business, it’s job is to chase dollar signs.
Dishonesty is a top qualification in that circle.
Are you telling me someone who is paid to lie to everyone lied to someone during the process of being hired to a job where he will be expected to lie everyone?

I mean of you have to lie to the Trump campaign those gotta be some gnarly ass skeletons in that closet.
Trump: “I really don’t want to be president again, but I want my people to keep giving me money and attention, let’s do everything to make them fight my presidency so that I can’t get in, but can use that pity to cash in.”
At this point it is good to see at least some people on the right are pushing back. But more interesting is that trump doesn’t seem to really care. Pedo matt wouldn’t have withdrawn his name if trump really wanted him in. Trump won, and now he is probably planning to golf the next four years. Odds are that while the result will still be terrible, it’s better than what would have happened if he took an active role in it all.
