My parents at least are more reasonable (despite still being reluctant to give up on WeChat), but I have an aunt that has definitely fallen into this trap. She uses it for medical advice as well, and Dr. WeChat has a lot of…interesting opinions.

Who needs vaccines when you could just eat more garlic, right?

This, in the American community, is what we call “the gusano phenomenon”, from Indochina and China, to Afghanistan, to Cuba and Nicaragua

It is the phenomenon of attracting historically anti-communist, yet generally pro-western, emigres into your land, who may or may not have been part of the former ruling class (eg. think small business, pro-west military collaborators, compradors) and thus have their individual, if not collective material interest in opposing their country’s new government, (which the U.S likely opposes)

In addition, they make good foot soldiers and lobbying voices against any internal domestic progressive opposition

This sort of politics is not an aberration, this is cold war migrant policy, worked over time (and believe it or not, the cold war did not end, it merely froze and defrosted)

For examples, look at Falun Gong

It was almost fun watching Hexbear losers realize they’re the baddies when Hexbear admins and moderators supported Donald Trump.

It’s not that they support HIM, it’s that they support whatever destroys western civilization. Which at this point is HIM.

Try to adjust your mind to be more open to people agreeing with you but adding extra stuff. Not every comment should be read as an attack.

The comments that tell me I’m wrong before repeating the same information I stated back at me may as well be nothing but an attack, from a philosophical point of view.

Or, it’s not and you just want to fight everyone for that dopamine. There is nothing philosophical here. I will block you so that we do not have to have this kind of interaction in the future. I wish you well.

If it was borderline ad hominem before then you certainly took the extra step into blatant. I accept your resignation, screw off.

What on earth? Where were you attacked? All they did was describe Hexbear’s generally accelerationist views.

I think you need to reread the comments here and make certain you’re responding to the right person.
