Summary

The Heritage Foundation, a key architect of Project 2025, is spending $1 million to pressure Republican senators into confirming Pete Hegseth as secretary of defense, despite concerns over his views on women in combat and allegations of misconduct.

Project 2025, a conservative blueprint tied to Donald Trump’s incoming administration, aims to reshape the federal government by reclassifying jobs to ease firings and curtailing agencies.

Heritage President Kevin Roberts framed Trump’s second term as pivotal for advancing conservative priorities, aligning with groups like the America First Policy Institute.

Debate over Hegseth highlights tensions within the GOP.

    “Spending $1mil to pressure…”

And how does money pressure them, here? C’mon, say it’s not a bribe, I dare you.

Lord the U.S. is a shithole.

It’s not a bribe, it’s a gratuity. No wonder Trump wants to eliminate tax on tips, it’s how GOP politicians make money.

This is 100% why. Otherwise it would be like the promises to the Muslims in Michigan or the rest of the morons who naught the lies.

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said Thursday that his group will spend $1 million to pressure senators unwilling to back Pete Hegseth

How exactly? He is spending it on what? Attack ads against Republicans?

American politics is all about the warchest of a politician. So any politician is buyable. So if you spend enough money you tend to get what you want. Which, surprise, ends in a aristocracy of rich people.

$1 Million is chump change compared to all of the lobbying support Republicans typically get from corporations. The Heritage Foundation is playing checkers when some Republicans have played Chess.

Are you familiar with the Heritage Foundation? I would not consider them to be playing checkers. They have had a long game plan and have been implementing it over the years. The “chump change” that is being spent now is a minor step in it. They want a yes man to purge generals that would stop a coup. Give them 4 years of that and it won’t matter what game anyone else is playing.
