First of all, I’m sorry because I’m sure this question has been mulled over a million times, but now that the subreddit is private I obviously can’t find the discussions.

So, steam mods. Which websites you’d recommend for downloading them?

      Out of those listed there:

      ggntw

Works only for select mods for select games.

      Steamworkshop.download

      Didn’t work.

      steam-workshop-downloader. com

      Didn’t work.

      Workshop Downloader

      Didn’t work.

      steamworkshopdownloader. ru

Works only for select mods for select games.

      steam-workshop-downloader

      Didn’t work.

I have yet to check the downloadable ones:

      NetherWorkshopDownloader

      SCMD

      steamworkshopdownloader

      Workshop Script

This website only instructs you how to download mods from Steam in the most roundabout way, through CLI. You still need to log in as an account that has the game bought in most cases :(

In my experience you can usually log in anonymously on the cli and download the mods you want.

In the meantime, I also found skymods.ru but it only supports Cities: Skylines, Stellaris and Hearts of Iron IV.

I suppose the short-term solution would be to:

    • Buy the game on Steam

    • Download mods

    • Paste them to your pirated game

    • Leave the game running for a little under 2h so that Steam doesn’t become suspicious

    • Refund it

However it’s kinda inconvienent and you risk Steam refusing your refunds at some point.
