    In Taiwan, at a hot pot place called Haideilao, if you eat solo, they put a oversize stuffed mascot across from you so you’re not eating alone.

      I think I might be more comfortable eating with a giant stuffed mascot as opposed to eating alone.

          Wow…I read back my comment and I noticed I somehow had a stroke and wrote it backwards lmao.

            I looked up what dingus means, and got this:

      That’s a thing on mainland China too. Apparently some of them think eating alone with a big stuffed animal in the middle of a restaurant is a thing of nightmares too.
