    I'm by no means saying Lego are bad today, but I loved inventing my own stuff, not assembling someone else's design. Yeah my stuff was nowhere near as accurate or realistic….but wasn't that the point?

      I once built a fairly realistic interplanetary spaceship out of duplos.

      It might’ve required some squinting, and some imagination to have caught the lovely details of it before the 3yo niece came careening off living room furniture to knock it over… but I’m still vaguely proud of it.
