Bandcamp’s new owner, the music marketing company Songtradr, says it will “continue to operate Bandcamp as a marketplace and music community with an artist-first revenue share”
Asked whether artist revenue shares, user experience, or the editorial platform Bandcamp Daily will be affected by the acquisition, Songtradr declined to comment.
Maybe I'm being too cynical but this doesn't sound great
If bandcamp dies or gets ruined, i won't really have a decent site to publish music anymore. SoundCloud isn't formatted well for what I do, and I'd have to pay for a service to put me on spotify and hope I don't just get removed or whatever. Bandcamp was good for small artists who want to put out a traditional presence for marketing and sharing material.

Could just be that they're still transitioning between the two companies and don't wanna say anything that could cause legal issues, idk
That's reasonable
