You can add lettuce to anything. But should you?

probably not everything… This is why kale smoothies are awful. (excuse me while I duck away from the kale smoothie people that are about to insist it's "healthy".)

You shouldn't add it to anything. Every meal is better without lettuce. I will die on this hill.

PS: I like healthy food, I love me a good salad - I just hate lettuce

        Share. Recipes. Now.

Also. kale is worse. IMO it's only acceptable use is garnish. You know. Like Pizza hut' (before it was a "super" food… the largest importer of kale was Pizza Hut; for the decoration around the bowls of the salad bar fixings.)

          My go to salad:

          • cherry tomatoes
          • rocket / fresh spinach
          • sauteed mushrooms
          • boiled egg
          • feta
          • olives
          • dressing made from apple juice, mustard, olive oil, aceto balsamico

When I'm feeling lazy I leave out the mushrooms

Lettuce is the reason I assumed all salad was shit for at least 20 years. Flavourless watery leaf, should only be added to the bin.
