And, side note: I’m really happy it’s working out for you. Trying to dial in the habits that keep our bodies working/feeling good past 40 is a fucking minefield. When you’re 20 you can fall off a house and think nothing of it… When you’re 40 you sleep funny and are fucked up for a week.
This is so true, especially now I have kids and just have to get up at 6:30 or 7 when I’m lucky. Even if I’m alone now I can’t sleep anymore after 7 because my body just makes sure I’m wide awake (even though I’m still really tired).
