Delaying one meal is not intermittent fasting.
Actually, that's the entire point of intermittent fasting… So long as you have about a 16- to 18-hour gap, your body can begin autophagy and ketosis, transferring from carbohydrates to fats as a fuel source. So, last meal at 1700, breakfast at 1100, and yes it will help burn fat (you will still need a calorie deficit, but a long gap between eating helps use fat stores faster by transferring almost all energy production to fat burning).
