I hadn’t seen an old friend in a while. Honestly I had decided I didn’t want to be friends anymore a long time ago, but I keep running into him other places. He doesn’t really know my politics. He recommended Vaush to me because ‘he’s a leftist that says ret*rd’.

Just what’s missing from my worldview analysis!

Was your friend his/herstorically a reactionary/lib/lefty of any known kind? V**sh may have been setting you up for a right-to-left-pipeline spike. If an old friend came out to me with this kind of embarrassing confession, I’d at least analyze the opportunity for personal growth.

There is a case for using reactionary aesthetics to do vanguarding among reactionaries.

The problem is that all the people doing it are reactionaries themselves but believe otherwise, and all the people I actually trust to do it right find it far too icky to try doing. It’s a real contradiction and locks us out of the audience at the moment.
