An oil tanker carrying Russian Urals crude has been diverted away from the EU-sanctioned Nayara Energy’s Vadinar port in India to unload its cargo at the port of Mundra, according to shipping data and four industry sources on Thursday.

    Nah, I am afraid sinking such a ship is bad for the fish and so … secondary sanctions for India and Indian companies would be a better solution and supposedly more effective.

        Indian refiner Nayara Energy has just become subject of European Union sanctions over it’s links to Russian oil company Rosneft, just to name a recent example mentioned in the article.

        Obliterating ecosystems that provide necessary food to human beings, while we’re (not meaningfully) dealing with other anthropogenic collapses of the aquatic biosphere is not really a good choice. A better alternative would be to seize the vessel and its cargo to sell for reparations for Putin’s war.
