anyone would know how to make consult-line works like isearch and be able to do C-w to gradually add the current word at point to the selection, i just got too much used to this

One approach would be to use the ace-isearch package or a custom keybinding and function (like the one shown here) to use
isearch
first and its “C-w” binding to yank the words, and then switch over toconsult-line
