This 5 second scene from the Simpsons my analysis [12:34:12]
There is a german youtuber who does a “5 minute Harry Podcast” where she analyzes 5 minutes of the first Harry Potter movie each time and they are mostly half an hour to an hour long.
There’s a podcast I listen to where they talk about a random episode of Top of the Pops. Each episode of TOTP was usually around 25 minutes, each episode of that podcast averages 5 hours at this point.
It’s glorious.

Every time I see something I like on YouTube my first reaction is … how long is the video.
Ten minutes? Great, learn something new in ten minutes
Half an hour? Good, I have some time for that.
An hour? Maybe if I feel up to it
Six hours!!! Who the hell has that much time?
Second monitor while I browse
Mine is more like:
10 minutes? Oh neat, that sounds like a nice little snack, maybe a new topic to discover?
Half an hour? Oooh, this could get interesting, this could be a pretty good introduction to the topic.
An hour? Nice, someone clearly did some research and isn’t skimping in details! Time to learn something.
Six hours? Holy heck, this topic must be much deeper than I though! This person clearly did some homework and has something to say! Time to get consumed.
Must be part 1 of PatricianTV playing Skyrim.
Motherfucker did “Morrowind Analysis: A quick retrospective” in just under 8 hours. For fans of Elder Scrolls, it’s worth watching.

A four hour stream of someone fixing a device I don’t own and likely never will – gimme. So satisfying, though I have no use whatever for this knowledge.
Guys… you can’t post this meme and not tell which one it is !
Me with speed running explanations.
I don’t even give a shit about speed running. I just like hearing how people figure out weird ass glitches. Though most of the time, the explanation literally boils down to “they got extremely lucky.” Like the current world record for E2M3 in Quake.
Makes me think of Summoning Salt, he does one hell of a job telling a story in each of his “history of world records” videos.
I watched a long one on the original Doom. I have never tried to speedrun a game myself, but it’s just fascinating.
Did someone say video essay?

I just want to learn about what is happening with his hair? Is it morphing into a cat? Does he have a placemat weaved into it?
Fredrik Knudsen’s 9 hour long Eve Online video, here we come!
Bring me back memories

The male urge to spontaneously learn about new subjects
But why male models?
It’s part of the meme. “The [gender] urge to [normal thing].” It’s satire.
