I went to show my college friend Balatro. He played red deck white stake and discovered photochad and won. Then it was my turn.

I played on plasma deck white stake, and after losing one run trying to pivot from stuntman to bloodstone, I tried again and get Perkeo on Ante 4. I was immediately excited about the potential of the run, but for the longest time, I had almost nothing.

My early ante scoring was a wee joker build with chad to scale the wee. Even though I had decent econ, I couldn’t find anything else useful (mult pivots, sixth sense, or seance) across the first 8 antes, and things were looking dicey. On Ante 9 I found a mime, but I had to sell some econ to get it and I didn’t have many gold cards despite soft building towards steel blue seal kings and a lot of Pluto levels. Then, I miraculously got a sixth sense from a judgement around this time. On Ante 10 I found a photograph but nothing else. On multiple occasions I barely beat the blinds. Just when I thought I was gonna give up, I found a Baron in Ante 11.

Even with Baron mime, things were still really dicey. I was barely beating the blinds, and my few sixth sense procs kept giving me the wrong spectral cards. But whenever I was about to run out of scoring, something saved me. Brainstorm on Ante 13. Deja Vu from sixth sense around Ante 14 (still no cryptid yet). I was racking up spectrals upstairs and probably had half the spectral lineup. I was running out of 6s in Ante 16, but a DNA saved me after desperately buying the magic trick voucher and still not seeing any 6s (except the one I missed in the standard pack, silly me). At one point in Ante 16, I thought I was gonna die because I discarded and didn’t have any cards left to draw on my thin deck, but I beat the blind by less than 2x. Blueprint on Ante 17. Then, later in that Ante, I got a cryptid from sixth sense, and the race was on.

Luckily, things became a bit easier after copying the red seals and having cryptids in case of emergency. I racked up 28 cryptids before unleashing on Ante 21, leading to my first ever unseeded naneinf.
